Ayla (Mya) is settling in beautifully. She has taken to off lead like a trooper and is very loyal and loving. She met the sea in September and is getting more adventurous each time- up to her knees last time she went in. Her favourite games are tug of war and playing ball on the beach. She has a thing for birds and despite her lack of wings, she is determined to keep up with them. She is also fascinated by most wildlife, despite her high prey drive she is not a problem off lead and has developed lovely “turkey drumstick” muscley legs from all her running and jumping. She loves her Giant Kong toy, especially when it has peanut butter in. Her new pal is a toy Husky who alternates between her prey and her friend, depending on her mood. She is such a Mummy’s girl and has made quite the perfect bedmate and cuddler. She took a lot longer to bond with my other half due to her harsh treatment by the male in her pre-rescue family. He now gets lots of licks and the occasional “look of love” when she’s liking him a lot. We could not have asked for a better match. Huge thanks to Howls for Help and Fraser, her Foster Daddy.
